Methodical thinking, intelligent answering, extreme presence of mind and readiness to take risks made the day for Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) which won the Mumbai leg of "The Economic Times in Campus Quiz" organised by The Economic Times in association with Cognizant at the Lala Lajpatrai Institute of Management.
For Mumbai, the inaugural edition of the decade long quiz drew a crowd of over 600 students from various B-schools and colleges. Coming in at second was ITM Kharghar, while Sasmira Institue of Management finished third. A hit here and a miss there made the difference between victory and defeat and it left the audience craving for more. Mr. Ashish Dehade, Global Head Life Sciences, Cognizant handed over the trophy along with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 to the winners.
The best quizzing brains in Mumbai had put on their thinking caps for this quiz conducted by Giri Balasubramaniam, popularly known as "Pick Brain". After a grueling preliminary round, 6 teams of the participating 150 teams fought for the winner's crown.
There were surprises in store for the audience too. Questions were thrown at them and those answering correctly walked away with prizes. Giri closed the event by appreciating the immense knowledge displayed by the audience, and participating teams.
